| How to collect email addresses from MS Outlook |
The format of MS Outlook mail archives (*.pst) is protected by Microsoft. Therefore, to access a PST file, this file must be accessible from MS Outlook as a mail folder. To collect email from outlook you need to export the data in a text (comma-separated-values (*.CSV)) file. To export, do the following, step by step: 1) Open the application MS Outlook.
2) Select the menu command: File | Import and Export... 4) In the next dialogue, select: Comma Separated Values. 5) Select the folder (e.g. Inbox, Sent Items etc.) to Export from 6)
Give a file name and path (e.g. c:\inbox.txt)
to Save

| How to extract emails from Outlook Express OR any other MAPI compliant email software |
Just launch the program, open "File / New Search" from the menu Or click the New button in the toolbar and a New Search window will appear. Locate your .dbx or .mbx file in the Source option. The dbx is outlook express file (For windows 2000/XP the dbx file usually resides in windows installation drive:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{E0241B43-D818-4119-AA10-6AB8582C40DC}\Microsoft\Outlook Express). The mbx file is Eudora email file which resides in Eudora installation folder. Set the filtering options you want to use. You choose some of them and click OK. In a few minutes you receive a list of email addresses extracted from the selected mail boxes. If you do not want just to extract every email address from the specified location (email folder, disk directory or files), you can use the email extractor filtering options of Email Address Collector. |
| How to collect email addresses from local files and folders |
You can collect email addresses from DOC, PDF, XLS or other local files. Moreover, it can extract email addresses from entire folders or hard disks. Using the "Source" option, you can select the source from where to extract addresses. |
| How to export addresses to Microsoft Excel or Other applications |
